Primary Purpose:

Provide Middle School band instruction to band students.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of overall operations of a beginning school band program

Knowledge of band literature and technique to help develop beginner and middle school band students.

 

Experience

 Preferred: Degree and 3 years professional industry experience

Equipment used:

Personal or laptop computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, telephone, electronic mobile devices, projector, video display monitor and related coaching equipment

 Physical Demands:

 Frequent lifting, carrying 15-44 pounds: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, long days, sometimes as long as 18 hours. Frequent district and occasional statewide travel

Exposure to outdoor and indoor work: exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather.
